Junior SharePoint Migration Specialist

We are a growing IT solutions company with offices throughout the UK including London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.


We partner with private and public sector organisations across Finance, Energy, Manufacturing, Media and Government, helping them to understand the true organisational value of utilising Microsoft integrated solutions.


Working within the Professional Services Business Unit as a SharePoint Migration Specialist, this position would suit someone with experience of working with SharePoint 2010 upwards and/or SharePoint Online. A technical background is essential as is good attention to detail and a desire to learn (consideration will also be given to individuals with experience in information governance, an enthusiasm for technology and a desire to learn about SharePoint).

Experience of working with Customers, Business Users and Organisational Teams to gather requirements and help to solve problems. Exposure to wider Office 365 tools, particularly Teams and experience of information architecture planning and information governance would be ideal but not essential.

The role can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow with travel to client sites (primarily in central Scotland but UK wide travel made be required) as well as the opportunity to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Consultancy to existing clients as part of our commercial and services framework.
  • Perform analysis of SharePoint environments to understand content and help to plan migrations to desired platform. Work with the customer to agree the output of the analysis performed and help them to understand the migration process.
  • Setup and administration of target SharePoint environment during migration process.
  • Documentation and knowledge transfer to the customer to support the migration activity.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our migration process to ensure we provide the best service to our clients.
  • Technical and product support for end users / site admins on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Some mentoring would be required for junior members of the team as they develop professionally.

Technical Skills:


  • Experience of SharePoint
  • Understanding of Windows Operating Systems, SharePoint (on-premise and/or online) and component/supporting technologies


  • SharePoint administration
  • Microsoft Teams experience
  • Information Architecture design
  • Experience of site reporting, analysis and migration using migration tools such as Sharegate.
